Kristie Witt

Counsellor

I’m Kristie — a counsellor working with individuals aged 16 and over, and currently completing Masters in Social Work degree. I believe genuine connection begins with ourselves. When we honour who we are, we can connect more authentically with others. This belief shapes my humanistic, person-centred approach to counselling, where I bring empathy, integrity, and a deep respect for each person’s unique journey. I welcome people from all walks of life, including Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander, and First Nations peoples, LGBTQI+ communities, and individuals in both traditional and non-traditional life paths. I offer a safe and inclusive space to explore emotional, spiritual, and practical challenges, drawing on evidence-informed modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) underpinned by a strong grounding in mental health and wellbeing. Outside of counselling, I’m a strong, compassionate woman, a loving mother, and someone who finds joy in the great outdoors, weaving, and creating art. These passions ground me and inspire the heart I bring into my work.
